授業の概要

Students will learn how to make an effective presentation through the following five stages: exploring the topic, organizing ideas, focusing on language, adding impact, and finally developing presentation techniques. Although some students might find public speaking challenging and frightening, the course will take them step by step to acquire fundamental skills to achieve their presentation goals.
学生は以下の５段階を経て、効果的なプレゼンテーションを学んでいく。つまり、適切なトピックを探し内容を深め、考えをまとめ、使う言葉に焦点をあて、聴衆にインパクトを与えるようなものを加え、プレゼンテーション技術を高めていくというプロセスとなる。人前で話すことを難しい、怖いと思うかもしれないが、このコースで、段階的に基本的なスキルを習得していくことによって、効果的な英語プレゼンをするという目標を達成できるようになる。
なお小テストの範囲やスケジュールの詳細及び授業外学習のmanaba提出への指示は第一週に担当教員から提示される。

この科目の到達目標

・英語で人前で話す＝パブリック・スピーキングができるようになる。
・自然な英語で表現できるようになる。
・英語で文章を作り、ロジカルに自分の意見を組み立て構成することができるようになる。
・英語において自然な話し方、発音、ジェスチャーなどの非言語コミュニケーション・スキルを身につける。

成績評価の方法


授業への積極的参加・授業外学習・小テスト・課題提出および最終プレゼンテーションの結果により総合的に評価する。

評価方法	割合	評価のポイント

授業出席	30 %	Active participation and contribution to your group activities will be assessed.

授業外学習	20 %	Prep. & review for each chapter will be checked.

小テスト	20 %	Two quizzes that cover the learning goals will be given in class

提出課題	30 %	A 15 minute presentation will be assigned in the end of semester.

定期試験	0 %	No final exam ( 実施しない）
